Along with Clivia plants and seasonal seed, I am also able to source most plants/seed. Pre-sale of South African seed usually begins from March and lasts through seed harvest in June and July. By the end of September any seed not sold is generally planted. For South Africa it is Spring. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are receiving seed late Summer into Fall. This is not exactly an ideal time to plant out seed of any kind. Contrary to what some say, Clivia seed are very hardy. If stored properly seed remain viable up to one year, although storing seed for this long is not recommended. The primary issue is that the seed tend to dry out and die. As I said, stored properly seed are viable for at least 6 months and probably up to a year. Seed I sell are properly stored. I will not ship out dry seed. I guarantee all seed purchased from me to be viable upon arrival at your address.
I also guarantee to offer all seed at the lowest possible price, to cover my expenses and a low profit margin. I only purchase from reputable growers who have many years of growing and breeding Clivia and know as much about Clivia genetics as anyone. Many of the breeders I represent have been mentored at the side of some of the better known of the "old time breeders".
I also will not attach a nice photo to a seedling, seed or plant and say it is the parent plant if it is not. All photos I use are either my original photos or are used with the explicit permission of the breeder.
I deal with only the best South African and Chinese breeders of Clivia. This assures both you and I that we are getting seed that are guaranteed to be as described.
